Concert FAQ

ACCESSIBLE SEATING

Handicap accessible seating is available at various locations throughout The District. Handicap seating is available to the patron with the disability and one guest.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

  • Events at The District are all ages, unless otherwise noted. Persons under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Guests 16+ may be asked to present a valid ID as proof of age. If you are 21+, you must present a valid photo ID to receive a wristband necessary for alcoholic purchases.
  • No strollers or similar items will be allowed in The District

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

In accordance with South Dakota and Federal law, persons must be twenty-one (21) or older to purchase alcohol. It is our policy to require all guests who appear to be thirty (30) or younger to present a valid form of ID for proof of age verification. Management reserves the right to refuse service to those guests who appear to be intoxicated.

ATMs

There are 2 ATMs located inside The District. One is located on the southwest side of the lower main venue and the other is located on the upper level concourse between the service bar and restrooms

BACKSTAGE PASSES/MEET AND GREETS

Backstage passes may not be purchased. Meet and greets may be available through the artist website for certain shows.

BAG POLICY

No backpacks, duffel bags, or oversized bags (bigger than 6.5" x 4.5").

CAMERAS & RECORDING DEVICES

Professional cameras (those with professional/detachable lenses and flash) are not permitted. The District reserves the right to prohibit camera use that conflicts with the policy set by the event. This policy extends to: audio recorders, video recorders, and digital cameras with video capability.

CANCELLED OR POSTPONED EVENTS

  • In the event it becomes necessary to cancel, postpone, or reschedule an event; information will be distributed via social media. Information will also be distributed via email to the database of persons who have purchased tickets for said event, if The District has contact information.
  • For a cancelled show, a full refund will be issued to the buyer's credit card that it was purchased on.
  • For a postpones or rescheduled show, a full refund will be allotted within 30 days of the postponed or rescheduled announcement to the buyer's credit card that it was purchased on.

CONCESSIONS

No outside food or drink will be allowed in the venue, including water bottles.

DOOR TIMES

  • The District opens 1 hour prior to the event, unless otherwise noted.
  • Please refer to your ticket to find the doors open and show time.

LOST AND FOUND

If you have lost an item during an event, please contact an Usher or Security Officer for assistance. If the event has concluded, please call (605)271-5600 and ask for lost and found.

LOST OR STOLEN

*The District is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

MERCHANDISE

Merchandise stands will be located within the venue for any artist merchandise.

PARKING

  • Parking is available on the SOUTHWEST and WEST of The District parking lot using the WEST entrance off the Empire Mall Parking Lot only.
  • Parking is available to the NORTH of The District in the Empire Mall Parking Lot
  • No parking for concert - goers to the east of the District in the ROAM area.
  • If you are coming to eat and going to a show on the same evening, please park on the southwest side of The District.
  • Some areas of The District parking lot will be partitioned off to divide the parking into The District Parking and ROAM parking. Please advise upon arrival.
  • No parking available for Semi or RV vehicles.

PROHIBITED ITEMS

The following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Animals: Service Animals are welcome
  • Audio/Video Recording Devices
  • Blankets
  • Coolers & Picnic Baskets
  • Firearms/Weapons/Knives
  • Fireworks, or any other pyrotechnic devices
  • Frisbee's/Beach Balls
  • Glass Bottles
  • illegal substances of any kind
  • In-line or roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles
  • iPads/Tablets
  • Laser Pointers
  • Mace/Pepper Spray
  • Musical Instruments
  • Personal Chairs
  • Outside Food or Beverage
  • Selfie Sticks
  • Strollers
  • Umbrellas
  • Water Bottles
  • Any other item deemed unacceptable by event management.

RE-ENTRY

For all events there is a strict NO RE-ENTRY policy enforced.

RESTROOMS

  • Restrooms can be found on the lower main level by the south staircase and on the upper level concourse on the southwest side.

SIGNS

Signs are permitted as long as they are handheld, do not block the view of other guests, are in good taste (no obscene material), are event-related, and contain no advertising or commercial messages. Signs on poles or sticks, or those constructed of wood or metal objects, are not permitted.

SMOKING

There is absolutely no smoking in the venues; you may smoke in the designated smoking area outside.

SUITES

Suites are available for purchase by calling The District at 605.271.5600. Suites are sold individually with 16 tickets included in the purchase price.

Upon arrival, guest passes will be held at the box office will call. If you received your passes in the mail, please make sure to have all passes with you upon arrival.

Suite guests must apply the designated suite passes on them for our host personnel to determine who is allowed in the suite access area.

TICKET OFFICE/BOX OFFICE

All tickets are handled online at thedistrictsf.com.

TICKET REFUNDS/EXCHANGES

There are no refunds or exchanges on tickets. All outdoor concerts are rain or shine. Customers may be able to upgrade tickets for events when possible; however, this is not a guaranteed policy and is done at the discretion of the Box Office Manager.

ENTRANCE

All patrons must use the SOUTHWEST main venue doors upon entrance. Entrance through ROAM is not permitted. We have WILL CALL/VIP and GA entrance signs on the entrance doors.

WILL CALL

  • All Will Call tickets are under a name and no actual ticket will be given.
  • Will Call doors open at the time the show doors open.
  • A valid photo ID, matching the name on the account, is required. There will be no exceptions.
  • Tickets will be released only to the person whose name appears on the ticket envelope, if available.
